Today was the last day of Hongdae free market (홍대앞 예술시장 프리마켓) (TT.TT)''
I sold some postcards, met nice people, had a great time despite the cold. Artist market is a great place, I love this idea of every weekend fellow artist sharing their creations ^-^. Anyway now it will be closed for winter season and reopen only next year february, I think... so sad about it...
To sum up during these three months I sold around 69 handmade postcards (counting only originals here, cause I lost the number of prints long ago ;p).
I completely made 78 of them, but I think I will continue making some even if there's no market anymore until I reach a beautiful number of 100. "100 postcards scattered in Korea" --> quite a nice title for an exhibition, don't you think? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I have nine sketches so far that leaves me 13 to imagine more.

This Saturday I sold a decent number of postcards as always but to my disappointment nobody wanted to buy at least one piece of my army of 변태 rabbits and black ducks... Well, it's just prove that people still search for reasonable usage even in art. Next time (whenever it will be..) I will put a huge advertisement poster with slogan "BEST DUST-COLLECTORS IN THE WORLD! Attracts dust three times faster than simple shelve decoration". That should do the job. ;D
After market had a great talk over dinner with my dear friend Frank about art, taste, managers and part-times in Korea. It gave me a lot of thoughts afterwards and here's just a few of my conclusions this evening:
1. There's a saying that some really talented painters died in poverty and became rich just after their death, it might seem as death would grant them some kind of magical popularity boost... WRONG! Their families or other people who got their paintings after their death there just better managers and economic-minded than the artist himself!
2. "After the art is done the artist is dead" - absolute true. The art starts living his life of his own and creator stops to exist, s/he becomes just one of many watchers and interpreters of his own creation. Cause there is no superior truth of how you should understand art. Our little experiment today just proved it completely.
3. Getting to know Korea it's hard, but when you know it - it can become a paradise :D Next time I'm in Korea I already know how to make 2200 LT in a month with working just two days/ per week and two Saturdays in a month.. Sadly, for that plan to work you have to have at least three months in front of you, so I cannot test it anymore now, when there's just 31 days remaining till I leave Seoul. (don't ask how it's possible, worthless, mwahaha >D).
