While Rokas was here in Korea to visit me I was also managed to finally register as an artist for portrait drawing corner in Hongdae Saturday artist market. It was harder than hard boiled egg. Paper --> face, paper --> face, paper --> face... that's all you manage to see in those six hours. But before we started I drew a portrait for Rokas (evil me, haven't even given it to him yet) and it was like a blast for new conception of portraits, an idea to draw people together with their favourite animals or one of 12 Chinese year guardians.
Today was the last day of Hongdae free market (홍대앞 예술시장 프리마켓) (TT.TT)'' I sold some postcards, met nice people, had a great time despite the cold. Artist market is a great place, I love this idea of every weekend fellow artist sharing their creations ^-^. Anyway now it will be closed for winter season and reopen only next year february, I think... so sad about it...
To sum up during these three months I sold around 69 handmade postcards (counting only originals here, cause I lost the number of prints long ago ;p). I completely made 78 of them, but I think I will continue making some even if there's no market anymore until I reach a beautiful number of 100. "100 postcards scattered in Korea" --> quite a nice title for an exhibition, don't you think? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I have nine sketches so far that leaves me 13 to imagine more. Lastly my schedule looked like a hell. It still does but less. You might laugh when I say "too many trips", "too many events", "too many creations". Yes, it's actually never never enough of those things. Even lifespan is too short to get fed up with these. But sometimes a lazy weekend with movies while not moving an inch from your bed is the best vacation ever.
So what was going on lately? |
